My first Subaru. I love the car, but am DISAPPOINTED that apparently the volume of the alerts from Eyesight has been dropped WAY down from the 2015 models, so that you can barely hear the alerts, esp if the radio is on.

  1. We just got a 2016 Forester 2.5i. I have found that the volume of the alerts from the Eyesight system (lane changing etc.) are very low, and too soft to hear over a radio. I have followed the manual for adjusting the volume from 2 (default) to 3 (maximum). This defeats the purpose of the Eyesight alerts for tired drivers. They will probably have the radio on to help stay awake, and therefore not even hear the alerts as they occur. It seems the volume was much louder on older versions of Eyesight, but making it too quiet, was not a solution. Any suggestions are appreciated. - Lee
