Last update. I finally replaced the blower motor resistor and it is working perfectly and all the time. If your blower only works on high this should fix it. 15 minute part swap and I got mine for $35 @ Rockauto.

Nevermind. It just needed a severe beating with a dead blow mallet. Pretty sure I did something bad to me sternum LOL.

Searched for something on this with no luck so, I'm asking. I have a 90 Legacy wagon with 4 wheel disc. I'm trying to decide whether I need new rotors and can't get the left front off. Haven't tried the right yet. Is there any reason this thing shouldn't just slide off once the caliper support bracket is removed? I', about to go try pulling the left rear but it's pretty clear it needs a new rotor.

Good news. Injector #3 was bad. So, while not cheap to fix, not fatal.

First owner was an elderly lady that went to the grocery store, dr & church. It sat for about 4 or 5 years without being driven so me taking it into Dallas traffic on a daily basis was probably quite a shock. That said, it's a really nicely equipped car. 4 wheel disc brakes, plenty of power and almost everything works. Body is is pretty good shape. It seriously needs struts and brake pads/rotors but not much else.

The miss showed up about 4 days ago. New NGK wires and Denso plugs about a month ago along with two new injectors. It's not overheating so hopefully the coolant loss has nothing to do with the miss. I've never been a fan of stop leak products so if it's the heater core I'll replace that. Hoping it's not something fatal as I think this car has lots of life left in it. I checked the shop out with a friend in the business. Spent quite a bit of time looking for someone familiar with these older vehicles.

I have a 90 Legacy wagon with just over 115K miles. Is it possible for head gaskets to fail and coolant NOT end up in the oil on these cars? It developed a miss at idle a few days ago to start with that then started materializing at highway speed. It has been losing some coolant (which I occasionally smell) but, I have not been able to find out where it is going. I took it to the shop as I've just been too sick to mess with it. I fully expect them to make this the diagnosis. Not sure what I'll do with it if that is the case as it was just supposed to be a "get by with it for now" car any way.

It works some & then it doesn't. Could this be the blower motor resistor being flaky? I really need this thing to blow air on really cold mornings. I can do without A/C till it gets warm but, I really need air to blow any time. I resoldered all the switches and thought I had it fixed then it went back to working whenever it's "in the mood". When it doesn't work, none of the A/C buttons even light up. I saw a unit on ebay for $39.99 and didn't buy it because I thought mine was fixed. GRRRRRRRRR.

I'm still looking for an air box but this should do for now Good thing I don't throw parts-n-pieces away.

No clips. Just 4 places where bolts should be. Only one tab still has the floating nut in it. The others have all been broken off the lower part of the box. I'm trying to see if I can adapt the old factory air box from my Gran Am to work.

I'm looking for a new air box for my 90 Legacy. The original is held together with some cheap spring clips and I can hear it sucking air. Any good places in the D/FW area for used import parts? I can go the cold air intake/ after market route but I'd rather not. I only paid $400 for this very low mileage (115K) car and am trying to keep things on the cheap.

It appears fixed. That said, one piece of plastic did get broken. Because I sat on it. Oh well, little JB Weld and all will be well. Bwahahaha!

If you see a PDF copy of the factory shop manual on ebay, skip it. It's a poorly copied manual that can't be searched. Also, probably missing some material. I got my money back but just thought I'd throw that out there.

A/C control out & no plastic broken. Now to exercise my exquisite solder skills?
