Not sure about the subaru clips, but on GM's a small terry washcloth works. You kinda wrap it around and pull it in the direction to remove the clip. The towel snags on the tips of the clip and pushes it out.

Link away! Just make sure you point out the website it's on (we're trying to get the word out for our region) I wouldn't say that it feels 'in it's element' in the dirt really. It's got potential, but it's going to take some work to make it do the job. Trying to use it with the automatic and the factory torque split was messed up. It was very unpredictable under power in turns. After I rigged a switch to lock it in 4WD and welded the rear diff it improved the handling by at least 50%. The auto transmission feels like it was made for this purpose. When I get the oil pump fixed (assuming the engine isn't damaged) I'm going to work on getting a little more torque out of her. See how much timing advance I can add, and maybe play with the cams a little. Then again I might be spoiled since I got my first taste of rallycross in a '00 2.5RS and have been using a '02 WRX.

Love that 323 GTX. I almost bought one until I found that the car was rusting from the inside out. Would never pass tech for clubrally unless the entire section of the chassis that supported the strut towers was replaced. Designed for Group A. Double floorpan, short wheelbase, shifts nice too. Power was low for pavement, but felt really nice on gravel/dirt.

We rallycross mostly in fields, but it's a lot more fun and organized than just going out and bombing around. Rallycross is cheap, easy, and a lot of fun. We'll be running a rallycross as a support event to the Old Miners Day rally. It will be considered stage 1 for the REAL rally cars. They will go through our course first, then the public is invited to try and match their times. Should be a lot of fun!

Well, after gleaning info from the generous members of this board, the XT6 was race-worthy. Trailered it out to the site and ran it hard. Made it through 4 of the 6 runs before I totally lost oil pressure. Looks like I'll need to pull the pump and see what's wrong. Engine was running hotter than I thought it should too, almost got into the red by run 3. Hopped into the WRX for the last 2 runs, but didn't have time to adapt to the extra power. The Lincoln Locker really helped the power-on oversteer. Notice the BMW X5 and the new EVO VIII that came out to play!
