I purchased a 1980 DL-5 1600 coupe , circle head lights, vinyl half roof, luggage rack, 5spd 2wd, under 90k miles. I have spent the last year restoring it mechanically and its up and running strong now, but I am having an issue with figuring out why the heater / defrost working. I know I am not part of the NE as I live in vancouver washington but I am reaching out to try and get some help. I read that you guys only allow 20 yr old Subaru's in your club and anything prior 81 is automatically accepted so I was thinking this would be the best place for some help or finding parts. The only documentation I have found that confirms the car came with the round headlights from the factory is a May 1980 Road and Track magazine. Please if anyone could help me with something get me moving along in the restoration would be greatly appreciated.
