  1. got any good pics of the pcv setup?
  2. i dont have any idea what i was doing. that happens with me most of the time. i guess i just wanted to see what it was like to be in 4wd in coastal SC. dont get much call for that around here. thanks for the heads up i'll check it out
  3. i was just out drivng around and kick my '91 Loyale wagon into 4wd it took a second to kick in,then the rear tires locked up on dry pavement. i'm sure my nieghbors thought it was pretty funny,me driving down the road dragging my rear tires. So i hit the button again to get it out of 4 wheel and it didn't work. I stopped then rolled backward a little real slow then forward and...CLUNK!! man i thought i was going to lose the rear end. I'm going to check the gear oil in a minute but i thought one of you guys might have an idea of whats wrong.
  4. haha, i love it...and the door lock light , it was made for a bad neighborhood where you need to lock your doors while you are driving.
  5. imng belts aren't that bad it's just one peice at a time. not a job you want to rush. first one i did i had to redo ..not fun
  6. here's a good link to some recall data: www.alldata.com
  7. would it be possible for me to install a turbo in my '91 Loyale? i'd like to see a picture of a stock turbo to see how it mounts, if anyone has one.
  8. you can't beat my deal on a '91 Loyale 165k for $200, just needed some TLC. new brakes all around, fuel/air filter, plugs, o2, sensor tierod ends, battery, alternator and had to clean the elec. window contacts.yeah it had 90hp stock 14 yrs ago and now it probably has 60hp, but the 4wd works and it runs like a top. and the taxes are $50/yr and the insurance is sooo cheap.
  9. i just did some looking online and couldn't even find a place that sells 'em. got any ideas??
  10. alright cool, thanks. by the code test looks like i have a bad EGR selenoid. now it's time to look up the price and see how bad the damage is :s
  11. i know the green connectors under the hood are for diagnostics what are the whit connectors for??
  12. Brus Brother, I'm confused as to why you see no difference in the use of lowercase and capital letters when you used CAPS to put emphisis on some of your statements. When read these statement seemed as if they would have been yelled if you were speaking them. I apologize for my use of capital letters and punctuation, whether it be correct or not. I will not return to writing with alllower case. if i thought i was going to be graded on spelling and grammer i'd go somewhere else. internet writing format: make it readable, misspelling fine, punctuation mistakes whatever, as long as we can read it
  13. all that stuff should be prety accessable, if you did the work yourself it shouldn't take you more than a day. you already have the parts. or just find a friend who's good with a wrench and needs a favor.i had a water pump go last year and the cheapest garage i could find wanted $300 to do it. i bought the pump for $70 at Advance and put it in in a day.i made up a few new swear words that day , but i got it. to me it's all about learning how to fix your own car and saving your money for other things.and the big plus...knowing its done right and that some shady mechnic didnt break something else to get you to come back. i've met enough of those guys:s
  14. that was the first thing i tried but there was so much gunk on there it wouldn't budge. even when i got it apart i emptied a half a can of brake cleaner and had to persuade it with a screwdriver and a hammer(just a couple of lite taps)
