  1. what struts can i put on the front end of my xt6? do i have to find a front wheel drive xt6 or can i use a legacy struts, spindle and brakes? i really need some help with this my car is torn apart and needs to be moved thanks
  2. I have a 88 XT6 and the air suspension just went out I had a legacy front suspension so i put it on. The drivers side fits perfect but the passenger side strut seems to rub. The spring and strut cap seem to be rubbing on the frame but only on right turns. has any one ever put legacy suspension on an xt6? did it fit do i need to go with different springs and strut cap or do i need to find a front wheel drive xt6? I am hoping that the legacy suspension would fit. any info would be useful thank you
  3. i would get rid of mine when i get the 5sp center locking diff let me know if your interested
  4. how hard would it be to swap the 5sp manual w/ center locking into my 88 gl10t w/ auto tranny would it just be bolting it right up then the clutch pedal and cable? also is $75 alot for a 88 rear diff LSD and how much should it cost for the 5sp manual w/ center locking diff
  5. i found a 88 gl-10 w/ LSD is there a difference in driveshaft length between LSD and non-LSD. will it bolt right in to my 88 gl-10T they are both 3.7. is there anyting else i'm not thinking of?
  6. i've got a 88 GL-10T sedan with 4eat and 3.7 gears i found a 88 or 89 GL-10T sedan with 5 speed manual tranny, locking center diff, LSD rear diff 3.9 what would it take to swap this tranny and rear end into my car. Do I need to get the manual crossmember and how hard is it to switch from a auto to a manual. what about the clutch do i take the pedal assembly also. do i just mount the flywheel to my motor and the clutch to that then the tranny. do i need to take the motor out or just drop the driveshaft the pull the tranny out through the bottom. some feedback would be really nice thank you
  7. I am looking to get a intake for my 88 GL-10 T. I have heard that the spyder intake from the XT is what i want to look for is this true? what years? turbo or n/a? what parts need to come with it? do i need to use the fuel injectors? do i need the ECU? what about the throttle body? Will it bolt right in? what size is it compared to my intake?
  8. when doing the 5 lug swap using legacy knuckle and alxe and the XT6 lower control arm do i need the XT6 tie rod or can i use the legacy tie rod? i've heard that legacy axles are 4mm longer than my 88 GL-10 T 4sp auto FT4wd axles and that should be taken up in the cv its self with no harm done is this true? will the axle fit my tranny i know they are both 25 spline but are they the same diameter? what other alignment adjustment do the legacy have in the front that the ea82's dont besides the camed hole in the knuckle for camber adjustment? what size rotors does the legacy come with stock and how big do they go and what size rims do you use? what are the calipers in the front and i heard that you can get sti calipers that will fit and how many pistons do they come with? how hard and expensive is it to find legacy air struts that are good and will the front air struts work with my exsiting air suspension setup ( i would have to keep my rears since the legacy's wont work on the rear and are the computer and height sensors different between legacy and gl-10
  9. I have the 88 GL-10 Turbo with the 4 speed auto tranny will legacy axles fit this tranny. how hard will it be to find legacy air struts?
  10. I have a 88 gl-10 T and i want to do a 5-lug swap but want to keep the air struts can they work w/ legacy knuckles could you gring off the bractry on the bottom of the strut and weld a bracket for the legacy knuckle. This might be a stupid question but any info would be nice.
