  1. nah full time awd so it is a 4eat sweet i was right. ne ways what would i need to swap in a 5 spd and what should i get it out of? thats what i wanted to do anyways.
  2. ok have a 1988 subaru gl-10 turbo wagon,its an auto with a 1 hold buttin on the center console right below the shifter,i was pretty sure it was a 4eat but the salvage yard keeps sending me the wrong tranny totaly differant frome mine, can some one help me determin what type of tranny i have ?
  3. its a re circ set up blow off valve from a vw 1.8 t. just need to know whare to t in for the blow off and boost guage.
  4. ok now im looking for a place to tag a vac line for the boost gauge and also a good source for my blow off valve? any suggestions also compleatly updated the cooling system, flush, new t stat and radiator the old one was lookin pretty ruff.
  5. i will install the guage as soon as it arrives, i dont drive the car much at all i was just wondering if a vac line would cause irratic shifting and also i found out last night the cruse doesnt work, any one have a vac line routiong diagram. i might sell the car in the near future garage kept digi dash nice car.i would like to do a five speed swap in it also what are my options for a donor car my gl10 is full time 4wd so would i need to change the rear diff. i would immagine so.
  6. ok i just picked up an 88 gl10 t, i added a bleader valve to up the boost because power was very slugish, seemed to help a bit but seems to cut power after about 4000 rpm. also the auto tranny seems to slip in and out of gears abnormaly, what could be the cause of this maybe a vac line or selonoid etc seems to me like its also cutting fuel, i dont know exactly what boost it is puting out but im guessing about 10 to 12 psi. is there a wasy to bypass the fuel cut or at least trick it i searched and have found hardly any usable threds about this. any help would be great. the car has 190,000 on the odo. thanks svxin

  8. cool, would this explain why the car is so slow? its like the turbo isnt even spooling.what does the selonoid do exactly? can it be bypassed at all? and one more question is there a vacume routing diagram floting around on the boards anywhare for the ea82t. thanks agian for the help
  9. ok im working on this ea82t motor and have found a sensor that is brokeni dont know what to call it but i have a few pics its right beside the throttle body and coolent line going to turbo its in between the two ill try to post pics.
  10. they said they put new plus in, the cap and rotor are new i will have to check it out more indepth when i get the car back next week, but they put a new timming belt on so i know it should be right on
  11. what were the simptoms with the dead computer? like i said the car runs but only at higher rpms and it will not idle its like its getting to much fuel its done this to me servel times before and i replaced the mass air and throttle body and it was fine for a few monts then the same thing would happen it smokes real bad and sputters etc.
  12. ok i have an 87 xt 1.8l na, its at a subie dealer but they keep throwing parts at it and getting no whare, it kinda runs but no idle they said its the computer but thats way expensive and they raped me on the timming belt and that wasnt the problem. it seems to me like a sensor like tps or mass, they said the injectors are wide open all the time but that seems impossable to me because if that were true wouldnt it flood out the motor as soon as i turn the key on, any help would be great if you guys need more input from me on the problem let me know. i need to get this car back on the road. thanks svxin
  13. no i think timming is ok car will start and run semi normal till it starts warming up then it just shuts off while running and trying to rev the engine it just has no power its spuratic like the car is getting no fuel. sorry guys left that out.
  14. i have an 87 xt 1.8 non turbo it has a few issues that i cant figgure out. right now the car is sitting will not start. it stalled and i tried to restart it then it backfired through the intake now i do belive it knocked out my mass air meter or something, also when the car was running at around 4,000 rpms it looses power for a bit then takes back off its like like a dead spot like running leanin a turbo car... what could be wrong???
