  1. Wow.... If only I had $6K to throw a turbo kit and high performance exhaust on my LegacyGT. Someday...
  2. How can I further diagnose this problem? I've ran the codes, and apparently narrowed it down a bit. I miss the easy stuff like rebuilding blocks and changing timing belts. Damn computers make it a lot harder to work on these things lately.
  3. I know the engine is pretty much the same, but with a lot of add-ons. The body is another place I'm running into problems with though. Its next to impossible to find a body kit for the Legacy. I've found a couple, but nowhere near as many as I've found for the WRX's.
  4. ACK!! Figured it could be something major like that. My problem is that I love the Legacy body styling, but don't like the lack of performance upgrades available for it. Oh well....
  5. Okay, did some searching and found I could have the code read. Took it to my local Autozone and the results are as follows: P04020 Catalyst system efficiency for bank 1 is below threshold for the current engine operating condtions. Can someone translate this for me?
  6. Will a STi motor go into a 00 Legacy GT, and if so what kinds of mods will it require? I'm sure the exhaust will have to be redone, but other than that would it work?
  7. My check engine light just came on at about 82K miles. I had a 93 Legacy that had a different method of checking engine codes and couldn't be read by a code reader. Are the newer models the same way or can they be read by a code reader? Also, saw something mentioned here about O-rings in the valve covers that keep engine oil out of spark plug holes. Any other info on those, as I have oil leaking around spark plug wires too.
