  1. Hey there, it loved me, we went through alot together! and the Black one hasn't broken yet... well... broken horribly... just a little... Now mind you, i treated the kia 1000000000% worse than the impreza
  2. Oh it's been seafoamed, and it's gotten plenty of oil... i take it as a sign of it coming back to life ATF on the other hand....
  3. if the pipes are still connected to the turbo, you might want to thing about grabbing those too, and just re-work (cut & paste ) the port sections, with some slight modification.

    Hankook tires

    +1, brakes are overrated
  5. Yup It's a little toned down from before, lacking the snorkle, and lights. It was sort of funny, i got a call the other night with the question: "What do all of these switches do?!" That was an entertaining convorsation.... "well that WOULD turn on, blah blah blah, if it was on there..." It has several other problems, a slight vibration somewhere, the engine still has the tick... (not the tick of death, just the lifter tick..), and i think there still might be an exhaust leak, at the flex joint.
  6. I'll give that stuff a try, thanks you guys! And i normally wouldn't worry about a small leak, but my dad's going to be rollin' in the OBS all winter, and i don't want to leave him with the car's issues :-\
  7. Why don't they have a turbocharged version? that would be one mean tribeca.....
  8. Well i got the impreza back on the road, but it's developed a very smell leak of tranny fluid, i THINK it's coming from the very top of the rear extension housing.. and i have no desire to pull down the exhaust, driveshaft, etc.. again. Is that leak seal stuff ok to use in the 4eat? Im mean, i suppose it can't hurt.. since it did run, while missing 2.5qts of ATF Oh yeah, if you see it drivin' around, southern NH, wave, it's my dad :-p
  9. Buy me a shop and i'll build you a bumper
  10. AA made a few i think, but i'm not sure if they're still in production. You could always just make your own
  11. for 100 bucks? i dont' think anyone will believe me i DO have a really good friend back at home in NH who is a judge
  12. It turns off so it doens't overheat I thought I was so smart when i figured that out... then i found it in the owners manual.. and felt stupid again Nipper, my rear defroster is mocking you.
  13. I'm working on gathering evidence right now, i did take pics of my, and the other car at the scence of the accident, what i SHOULD have done is look for skid-marks, because if their tiremarks started in my lane, then it was obviously their fault. I'm going to go check it out and see if the marks are still there, if then are, i'll try to get a pic somehow. The citation states that i merged right into their lane, where i didn't change lanes at al!! I fully plan on fighting this, i just need some legal backing (not a lawyer) but a stronger foothold than "I didn't do that"
  14. ASDF)*($&!@$)(@)($ so i just got the police report, and they want to site ME with a $100 fine for unsafe lane change... any advice on fighting it? i obviously didn't change lanes
  15. Wow... that's REAL bad. I dropped the car off at the body shop today, no outlook on time (should just be 2 peices of plastic, and if i'm lucky a new wheel ) As for the brakes/accelerator, i was using the skinny pedal, and fading left, but they were coming at me a little to fast to get out of their way (hence the hitting me... ). I actually had the pedal mashed into the floor, but the turbo does take a second to spool up , and i could have been in a lower gear i suppose, but then again, i didn't know i was going to need that extra go-juice :-\ inscurance company is taking care of stuff, suprisingly it hasn't been complete brain surgery to get stuff taken care of. Oh well, it's just always a pain to get out of work, and drop off the car, and all of that crap, bllahhh.... Oh well, it happens, i'm moving back to NH when my lease is up
  16. I HATE Living in Mass..... and you see why.... So the story, i was in the left lane, getting onto I-90 West, from I-95 South, was passing a good ol' 92 Toyota Corrola, and i noticed they were inching closer and closer, so i faded left... until i ran out of highway, and poped the left side of the car up on the curb of the highway.. kept going, BANG, they slacked into the rear end of my car... i managed to keep mine straight, they managed to pull off a spectacular 180, and slam the front of their car into the curb on the other side of the highway... All said and done, noone was hurt besides my baby... and the toyota (their front drivers side rim got all sorts of bashed up). Oh yeah.. i hate dealing with inscurance companies too.... :-\
  17. nice catch austin! soo.. i've gotta' ask... what's the 1st mod going to me?
  18. Well, i'm not 100% sure about this onthe older ones, but on the newer automatics, in cruise, they actually try to optomize the combustion (aka trying to burn 100% of the gas), i've found that the milage is way lower w/ cruise on than off... but i also have a 5MT... but the g/fs is alot different, it also does that whole downshifting thing. Another note, my cruise won't set over 87mph :-\
