both gaskets are exactly the same just did it to a 98 legacy gt 2.5 liter 123,729 miles on it you can't install them the wrong way I hope they are subaru gaskets

I own a 98 legacy gt and I run synthetic oil in it (Ams Oil) it runs great I never tried mobil 1 with the Ams oil you can run the oil for 25,000 miles and change the oil filter every 12,000 and so far so good I ran it in my old xt6 also and no problems.....

I have a 98 legacy gt I am thinking about putting the michelin hydroedge tires on they are T rated and my car calls for a H rated tire what should I do does it make a difference Thanks

I want to thank all for the information on the problem that I was having it was the head gasket and I have no problems now it is running great (better than before) it has 123,800 on it and it is a great car Thanks Again...

If it was a large intake leak the engine light would come on more than likely it is a timing belt idler they tend to make that noise when worn

If you have the opportunity to get a XT6 go for it I had 2 in the past both were 89's and they were great cars once you own a XT6 you won't want to drive another car I miss mine but now I have a 98 legacy GT not bad but it isn't a XT6

I have a 1998 legacy gt 2.5 a few weeks ago it over heated after it cooled down we drained the radiator and filled it back up and Today it overheated again it has 123,000 miles on it and I have owned it since september of 2004 does anyone know what it might be was there any recalls on this vehicle thanks
