  • Biography
First Subaru was a 1988 Justy and I just loved that car except for the annual motor mount replacement. Second car was a 2002 Subaru Forester, which is still running on the original engine.

  1. I never tried an inline heater. I use a block heater and it generally will start the car easily down to -10 F. Lower than that, I need to plug in a battery warmer as well. I've noticed that as the car gets older, it needs more help in the winters.
  2. Have a 2002 Forester that's parked outside in temps ranging from -20 F in winter to 105 F in Summer. I've had a lot of challenges with this car, but it keeps running. I got the car in California new. The manual is different than the one the dealership showed me up here. We brought the manuals out to settle a disagreement. We both won.
