Hi all , new here but not to Subaru’s I’ve had 3 over the years . First a 2004 OBW bought new, then a 2000 OBW bought cheap with bad head gaskets then lastly a 2013 3.6R wagon. I’ve still got the 04 and the 13 . The 04 is pushing 300,000k and just recently spun a bearing. I’m considering a JDM 2.0 swap for a few reasons. First is $600vs $1300 for a 2.5. Second is I’m hoping the 2.0 ends all issues with head gaskets. The car at this point is just my winter beater so I don’t have to ruin my truck driving in the salt. And I suppose let’s be serious how much life has this car got left in it ? I read of someone on here considering a similar swap but was wondering what the outcome was .
