I think it's just too expensive for a Subaru. I read a review in The Wall Street Journal last week. This car is almost $40,000 ! That much for a Subaru ? Someone at FHI is NUTS ! The name is bad too. B9 Tribeca ? B9.....sounds like a plane the USAF would buy. The front isn't too bad but it might take some getting used to. ~Howard

I had Goodyears on my old Mercury Sable. STAY AWAY ! I had constant problems with ply separation. They closed all their company stores in the Philadelphia area. They referred me to their new stores called Just Tires. The manager there wanted to replace just the one bad tire. Both tires on the same axel should be replaced since the thread pattern was different on the new tire. After calling the main office several times I finally gave up trying to get them replaced. ~Howard

I'm having a wierd CEL problem. The last few weeks I was having a CEL problem right after I would fill up. The problem would clear once I removed the gas cap, put it back on and started the car about 4 times. The other day on the way to work the problem started again. I replaced the Stant locking gas cap with another locking one I have around as a spare. The spare is new. I went out for a meeting last night after work with the new cap in place and everything was A-OK. I think I drove about 8-10 miles round trip. This morning I started the car and everything was fine except after driving about 2-3 blocks the CEL came on AGAIN ! I'm clueless at this point. When the CEL happens the car feels like it has lost power. Does anyone have some suggestions as to what the problem might be ? I know Auto Zone can read the codes and I might stop there tonight on the way home from work. ~Howard :-\

Last summer I replaced the speakers on my 2000 Forester. The front speakers are 6 1/2" Panasonic and the rear ones are 4" Sony. I am using a size adapter for the rear as the original ones are 5" and hard to find in a decent brand. All are working fine and sound fantastic ! Someone suggested using bass blockers on the rear speakers for better sound and "to protect them". They aren't expensive. Crutchfield carries them and I've seen them on eBay too. Your comments and suggestions are appreciated. ~Howard

I've been pleased with my Diehard Silver that's in my 2000 Forester. I picked the Diehard because Sears is just about everywhere in case of a warranty claim. The Pep Boys around here in Philly are terrible; the installers are awful and it takes forever to get out of the store. Sears took about 1/2 hr. from start to finish. They have dedicated battery installers. ~Howard
