  1. This is all super helpful, thank you, now not only do I have the ej22 but I have the factory 5 speed as well, is there anything special I need to know or will it bolt up??
  2. I going to be doing an ejj 22 swap on my 88 gl wagon and I'll have absolutely everything including dash, gauge cluster, etc from the donor car, will I still have to make my own harness if I just swap everything over? I know it's gonna take alot of work, but is it possible??
  3. Thats what I was thinking because I measured the wheelbase length wise on both cars and it matches haha thanks a bunch guys
  4. So what youre saying is that I cant use the rear drive shaft from the transmission to the axle from the sedan 86 and put it in the wagon 88
  5. So I have an 88 gl wagon and it needs a new driveshaft, I also have a 86gl sedan, will the driveshaft from the sedan work in the wagon? Because I really dont want to spend 400 bucks on a new one haha
  6. So I have an 88 gl wagon with 33's on it and I want to be able to do highway speeda comfortably, does anyone know what gears I should buy?
  7. I took off the pannel for the divers side and the motor smells smoked but I didnt take it out to see, tomorrow im gonna pull all the carpet and seats out to access everything easier and just start unplugging connectors until it stops blowing fuses n then I'll see if I can narrow it down after that
  8. So I found a short in the rear driver side door and I put a new relay in amd even spliced a new connector and it was still dipping the battery and blowing a fuse....... Do I have another short?
  9. That sounds right about where the sound is coming from, thank you, im pretty sure I smoked my regulator for the drivers window also, haha so im gonna unplug the regulator and see if I keep popping fuses like i have been.
  10. This is my 88gl wagon I call it "Car Ramrod" haha she's got a 2in adf lift and lots more that ive done to it. I bought it with the lift already on but ive put new doors hood and fenders on it from an 86 sedan. As well at new seats and im in the middlenof redoing the interior.
  11. Thanks everyone for the advice, yes I was using the window right before it happened, I'm going to check all my connections closer tomorrow and my fuses, I'm pretty sure I know where its coming from, ill keep u guys updated, thanks again.
  12. So I was driving in my 88gl wagon. It has power windows and smoke started coming from under my drivers door pannel so I pulled over and took off the pannel and no more smoke. So I put it all back together and my windows wont work now. Also since then I hear a soft click from my passemger side and the battery gauge drops significantly and then a louder click right after and the battery gauge goes back up?? The clicking happens about every 10 seconds, Any ideas??
