  1. Am I posting this in the right forum? Proud owner of a new 2023 Crosstrek. (Premium with extras, gray/black) Now we're an all-subaru family! I am going to put a lot of miles on this car over the next few years (maybe 35,000 a year) and I want to protect the body as much as I can from chips, bugs, etc. And the front seats. Anybody got a recommendation for a bra? Do those clear plastic "deflectors" make any difference? Is there such a thing as something to protect the outside mirrors? Front seat covers? I'm a newbie and I thank you all in advance for the help! Brian
  2. Thanks everyone, I found chains that fit (on the second try) from Security Chain co. Success!!!
  3. 2021 Subaru Forester, Tire size 225/60R17 Chains first bought: Volt QV339 (from Quality Chain Co). Label on package says they fit this tire size. They do not. I have now ordered SZ143 Super Z6 Cable chains from the Security Chain Co. (the brand that Subaru dealerships sell). Their chart says they will fit my tire size. We'll see. Maybe this will help anybody in a similar fix. Cheers all!
  4. Hi all, thanks for the responses!! You can't use real chains on my Forester but you CAN use cable chains. Subaru even sells them in their parts department, but nobody around me stocks them. I only need them for one or two trips a year to the mountains, so not really worth buying four snow tires. I don't know why the cable chains I bought say they fit my size tire but don't. I'm going to return them, and order a pair made by SCC, the manufacturer Subaru sells in their parts dept. Just FYI. Thanks again!
  5. 1. Can I put tire chains on my Forester? Cable chains, I mean. 2. What size? I bought a set that supposedly fit my tires, but they don't. Thank you!!!
  6. Hi All, I'm brand new to this forum and brand new to Subaru! We love our new Forester (premium with power lift gate, Jasper Green) But one annoying thing: every time we start the car, the radio comes on. No matter how we set things up before turning the car off. The dealership says that's just the way it is, just turn the volume all the way down. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks so much!
