  1. do you mean in the injector its self or the wire going to it is it possable for the resistor to be bad and causing this.and it is happing to two cl. at the same time when it happens. they are both on the passenger side.
  2. i started a thread a weekago but left town. the thing on the shock tower is still getting very hot and the misefiring only happens sometimes. today when i started it 87 ea82t it ran like a top smoother then my new car. but 5 min down the road it started to lose alot of power. sounded like a volkswagon with bad exhust. i started to pull plug wires and 2 cly. on the same side were not firing.that resistor on the shock tower was red hot. i got back in the car or at this time the screaming fireball drive it back to the house after a min it picked up and took off. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee here comes the stop sign foot of of gas and sputter sputter sputter die. gave it a min to sit fired it off after pushing on the gas like its my 85 jeep cj7. sputtered to the house.it is flooding out it seems like and burning it in the exhust. (white smoke out of tail pipe when sputtering) new parts 2 months old plugs ngk, super stocker coil yellow,plug wires,boost gauge, man.boost control,cone filter with 79 trans am side scoop put in the hood looks cool i have pics but need to post them
  3. i went to go to work and started my 87 ea82t.It was very hard to start but when it did white smoke came boiling off of the turbo and down pipe.I took a good look and it was gas it was puddling on the heat shield but the suby started to idel fine.i let it run and it cleared up there is a box (looks like a rely) on the pass. iner fender screwed to the shock tower. it is getting burnning hot and my batt. went dead. i jumped it off and unpluged the box and the car will not run without it plugged in. went out this morning and it started fine when i plugged it up. went down the road and in 5 min. my check engine light started flickering and it started the gas in the exhust thing i happen to wiggle the cold start wire and the engine died allmost. then started to run right. is it the wire the injector or the reley making it stick open????????????????????????????????????????????
  4. it says gl on the back and is 2 wheel drive. it is also a 2dr and has 4 wheel disc brakes with a big rubber spoiler on the back. It has a small air dame in the front and rubber pieces infront of the back tires. i have heard some call the spoiler a nerf it feels like a nerf ball. i really like this car alot its not real fast but i love old bugs and ghi too. it will burn first then catch 2nd and cherp 3rd . then i can go get the groceries. i dont thank it is a rx but did they make a hatchback or do you call it a fast back when i buy parts i tell them (87 1800 ea82t fwd 2dr hatchback). MAN I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE PICS THING . WELL OFF TO WORK I GO WWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  5. iam new to your web page. well not that new i have been reading all the info since i purchased (3wks) a 87 turbo hatchback. Is that the right name for it. I have some pics but i dont know how to post them on this site.i have done a few RR things to the suby. cv,all new brakes,all new fluids,super stock coil,took out airbox put in cone filter,mbc,boost gauge,ngk plugs at .50,next will be the exhaust. I work at a restro. shop we do hot rods or what ever pays the rent we sandblast and have a medium room. Some iam winning the rust war and soon to paint. (I have been known to talk to much) ea82t
  6. yes all of my hose clamps are tight. it is one of the ebay cheapos but the function seems simple .all i wanted was to add a little more boost nothing extreme i drive it everyday and it runs way to good to blow up. i would like to get 9psi out of it maybe 10psi if it will not burn the motor up.can you put this in backwards? air flows from the nipple on the front of the turbo to the wastegate right.i have a flutter sometimes when its up around 5-6psi.
  7. i put in a mbc 87 gl hatchback and there is no change in the boost on my boost gauge. the performance didnt change at all. i put it in the line coming from the front of the turbo to the wastegate on the side of the turbo. at frist i put it in line and left the hoses going to the shock tower.ran the same . then i bypassed the shock tower and still no change i made alot of adjustments each way.do i have it put in wrong or what. my boost gauge is t' into the same line. iam putting it in primer this week i must win the rust war. i will post some pics as soon as i get some batteries.
  8. i put the linkage above the bracket you were talking about that is the one with the rubber on the bottom right and it works the nut is tight and i moved the bracket forword but i can still knock it lose when i put it in reverse and my 3rd gear is really hard to hit when iam hauling #@*. could this be syncros.
  9. i was driving to work and my shifter linkage started to feel like it was falling threw the floor i looked under the car and it is held up by nothing there is just the linkage to the trans. I can see a bump stop that looks like it is there to stop it from going up into the car. whats going on here.help please this is my daily driver (111,354 miles) runs great. it will still shift just fine but hard to hit the gears on the fly.
  10. how do i install a bov on a ea82t i have no intercooler yet but my car is still faster then alot in the pensacola area (high doller rice rocks) and i want them to fear the suby whooooooooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
