  1. hey. hows it going, im kinda local... anyway i was wondering if you or any other forum members wana try meet up at effendal pass in tahuya o.r.v. over the weekend?

  2. That's my old 88 gl... I sold it to Haunt a while back (miss it terribly) - definitely his video... is he still on the board? I just checked in after a long absence... didn't see his name in the member list (?)
  3. Oh, and I found the keys for the roof rack!! Let me know if you want them
  4. You're welcome.... although I regret selling Seamus every single day. But such was the timing... I simply didn't have the time or $ or workspace to fix up the front. Stupid slow speed rear ender after a light changed & the big honkin truck in front of me stopped suddenly. What killed me was I had just custom-mounted an A-frame brush guard to it & it was torn off. And yes, every little OEM piece I could find new went back on it. Spent hours detailing it inside & out with a toothbrush! Even re-sewed the leather steering wheel cover twice just to get it perfect. Hope you're enjoying it & keep the pics coming... always wanted to give it a mild lift, so you have my blessing, but just please don't trash it on a trail!! Peace... - Doug
  5. Thank you thank you thank you... My christmas bonus is paid on 12/09 & I won't know how much until that day... that will make all the difference. The more $ the more I'm getting from you (rear bumper, swing gate, skid plate, lift & wheels - in that order). Seamus, my '88 hatch, can't wait...and neither can I!
  6. Just to confirm... i'm definitely in for a front bumper ... and if my christmas bonus comes through on 12/09, i'm in for a skid plate & a rear bumper w/ the swing arm... if the bonus is extra big, count me in for a lift kit (for '88 hatch). depending on shipping costs, might drive down from seattle to pick it all up.
  7. since i just taco-ed my front bumper & knocked the bull bar off, i'd be interested in a custom front tube bumper. depending on $ I can raise, would love to see the price/design for a rear tube bumper/swing arm tire mount as well. and custom skid plate? you can never have enough protection ;-) I'm imagining matching tubular sliders along the rocker panels... doable?
  8. If you read ONE book before going to Australia, read In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson; funny, fascinating & gives a great sense of scale for the place. He's my favorite travel writer for a good reason. Go if you can, no matter what the ratio of women is (they're beautiful anyways!)
