  2. Thank guys it is a 5.spd so I am going for it. We leave today! So Let it ride.
  3. I live in Colorado and I am planning to run a kayaking trip to north east Mexico. For this trip I will be towing a mid size dirt bike, moto trailer and some gear with my(here is the funny part) 91 LOYALE. This road trip is about 30 hrs road time one way with the loaded rig. I would like to ask you Subaru experts what you think about this or if anyone has had experiance towing mid sized loads with a LOYALE. My car is a 91 1.8Lt it has 120k and has never given me a problem EVER. Newer timing chain, water pump and alternator. What problems might I encounter besides the Mexican water??? Thanks for any advice cheers DeLiSh..
  4. I have a 91 loyale with a failing volatage reagulator. Should I try and replace the voltage regulator inside the alternator or just get a new alternator. Thanks DelIsh
  5. Where Do I install my voltage regulator on my 91 Loyale? My manual says on my engine housing but I can't find the slot. Thanks for any help.
  6. When I accelerate my 91 loyale my volts go up fast like my RPMs. At about 3kRPMs my volts are around 18!! is this to hot? When I Idle the volts hang out around 12v where I think they should be since it is a 12v system. Also sometimes on cold starts my Volts max out I would say above 18v and my radio starts to ************ out untill I bring the RPMs down. If this is bad do I need a new Alternator, Voltage Regulator, Batery. Please help. Cheers Delish
  7. YO YO Thanks for all the help!!!! I hitched a ride back to eagle where my car was acting UP armed with a new ignition swith and my probe. Turns out my ignition harness fell out of its link. Simple as that!! 2 min fix. Thanks for helping a new guy out. Cheers Mike
  8. Hmm.... I feel like I am getting closer. If there is no power to my starter/solinoid would that cause my cluster\radio and such to not turn on when my key is turned???
  9. I did check the fusable links red green red black and they all were intact. no separation in any of them. I guess I will cruise out there with a meter and poke around. just blows that my ride is and hr and a half away. thanks
  10. My ride was running find and dandy. Went into the gas station to grab some doughnuts and my car would not start. I have power in the battery just none to the engine. Can't bump start or jump start. All fuses in inside pannel are good. Also the green red and black wire fuses in the engine compartment are also good. Hazard lights work, Interior light work, and chime works. Just when I turn the ignition..... Nothing no click in the starter solinoid area not even power to my cluster, radio, or any of that stuff that turns on when you turn the key. What am I missing? some fuse or wire, Bad Iginition???? AHHH Please help. Thanks Mike
