  1. ok thanks for the info. If anyone is interested email me at SparkSVT@comcast.net I dont get on here alot
  2. Im looking to sell off my 1993 Loyale 4x4 Auto Trans Wagon. It has 38,000 original miles on it. Would I be best off selling on Ebay or just listing it in the paper? I dont see a classified section on this board so I figure Ebay may be the way to go. Im near Philadelphia PA. SparkSVT@comcast.net
  3. I have a 93 loyale with the auto trans,31,000 original miles , and 4x4. Mine boggs out only when its cold. after it warms up, it runs ok. Someone told me its becase it has a "one wire" o2 sensor. this occurs even after i replaced the o2 sensor, fuel filter, cap rotor plugs and wires.
  4. I just bought a used 2004 WRX with 10k on it. It still has the stock wheels and tires and I find that the tires suck rump roast. Anyway, I also notice that the tires look really skinny for a car like this. Any ideas what would look a little better, or wider without loosing performance, traction, or rubbing?
  5. my 93 loyale 3at 4x4 has 33k original miles on it.
  6. I want to put some seriously bright lights on my 4x4 Loyale wagon. I been looking at Hella's and similar lights. Does anyone have anything like this on their car that I could see a pic of? Im not sure where or how I would mount them. Someone suggested a roofrack type mount? I dont have a roof rack on my wagon though. Can anyone give me some ideas? Maybe show me your set up? In other news me and the wife just bought a 2004 WR Blue WRX 5 speed sedan...woo hoo!
  7. How hard of a job is it to replace the ball joint on my 93 loyale 4x4 wagon?
  8. ok I fixed (replaced)the crank seal and the seal surface was fine. The old seal was installed incorrectly and torn up. now a new problem ...the drivers side cam shaft we lined up the dots and it rotated smoothly by hand to line them up. We went to do the passenger side and its real jerky you cant turn the cam wheel by hand. It seems to get tight as we turn it. I pulled the valve cover off and all seems to look ok. The compression is 170 on all cylinders so the valves seem to be opening and closing properly. Any idea why it would be tight on one side and not the other? I would rather checkout the problem before just putting the timing belt back on and having more problems. can ANYONE HELP?
  9. not a crate motor, its a 93 loyale owned by a local woman who traded it in on a new forrester. it has 33k original on it.
  10. what shaft are you talking about? We noticed the oil pump shaft is somewhat worn looking and has some minor grooves in it. The new pump has a replacement shaft. This all seems somewhat odd as the car only has 33,000 miles on it.
  11. Im in the middle of trying to figure out this ongoing oil leak problem I have had. I had the car in a local shop 3 times for massive oil leak and they never got it right. They reportedly replaced the cam seals and crank seal but it still leaks. So a friend of mine who is an ASE certified mechanic agreed to tear the front of the motor aprt to have a look at this leak. We bought a new oil pump and got to tearing the car down.. I notice the crank seal is all banged up looking. On one of the three times i brought the car back to the shop after it leaked when they had replaced the crank and cam seals, they told me they again replaced the crank seal because the one they put in must have been "defective" . Anyway I get the car back and it still leaks. It really only gets leaking good when the car runs at any kind of rpms for a few minutes such asd highway driving. (3 speed auto trans) Can anyone tell me any tips on this job? Can someone host the photos of the seal I took today on here so i can post them up? I would like your opinions. We stopped today at the point where we will next be removing the crank seal. the car is all apart. We have been using a repair program he subscribes to on his laptop called "alldata" to do this job.
  12. peel out...yeah right:lol: ..this thing is a 3AT. 90hp with about 40 making to the ground probably. This thing isnt peeling out anywhere.
  13. I have a 93 Loyale 4x4. How can i tell the 4x4 is working. I hit the button and the indicator light comes on but its dry out and I cant tell if its engaged. any ideas short of driving it through the woods or something?
