  1. I'm finally hooking up the diff lock in my RX trans I swapped into my GL Wagon. Anybody have any pinouts of the solenoids and switch, or a schematic on how you've done it? NEED to get this done ASAP
  2. I have heard good things about this website... http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ Looks like they will do anything from a normal touchup bottle, to a paint pen, to custom aerosol. Good luck, and have some shave ice for me... preferably with some macadamia ice cream at the bottom!
  3. He knows that if it doesn't have a subaru motor in it I won't let him play with it in the mudpit at next years WCSS.
  4. Serious. Some of us have to live through your pics and vids, so post away!
  5. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I have one of these in my toolbox I could have sent you (or you could have driven down and gotten). Nice work on your own version!
  6. If its a wagon, you get to the rear bumper bolts through the smugglers hatch.
  7. Make it solid, make it fun. Drive it to/from work, and to/from visiting me and the Brat. Spend all the rest of your time and money on the REAL offroader. The car IS what it IS. Don't polish the turd too much
  8. Why do you have a chip on your shoulder? Every interaction I had with you during the show was YOU complaining about something. I personally feel that you had your mind made up about the location before even coming out, which makes me wonder if you thought it was going to suck, why did you come? Its insulting for you to try and pull a "i told you so" moment when I did personally everything in my power to make things work. What we were told by the grounds, and what was there when we showed up were 2 different things... and this actually happens more often than you think! (think skamania last year with bailing on the mudpit, or cashmere the year before double booking horses in the arena). It happened, and we adjusted. And, by most people's accounts, turned out fantastic! I felt there was PLENTY of camping space, however it was very poorly utilized. Some groups blocked off huge pieces of the field, and others simple were unwilling to make the effort to go find an open spot. Its these people we finally got tired of their whining, and let them camp on the building side. Its a result of this that we ended up not parking any cars there, and having to find other places that worked. I made a post, right here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=135107 asking for volunteers to judge for oldschool. Why did I do this? SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO. In years past I have judged 3-4 classes, along with trying to run everything else. I got 3 guys, who did their best to judge the classes. I honestly don't think in the last 2-3 years, our judging has gone as smoothly or quickly. In my book, having to wait 2hrs out of a 4hr window of time is pretty decent. This year there was actually MORE judges, with LESS classes PER judge, than in any year previous that I have been a part of. I'm not sure why your judge found it necessary to help with the mudpit, nor why needing some other people wasn't brought to my attention for the mudpit, as I'm sure I could have put some other volunteers to work. If you saved spots, and those people ended up camping somewhere else... well, that makes you part of the problem. Everybody I asked about why they had so much space, and why they parked a car there was "i'm saving room for a friend" or "my buddy is staying here, he just ran into town for something" or "i can't let me car out of my site, someone is going to damage it!" We did start the raffle a little bit early, as we had a ton of people antsy for something to do as they waited for food. However, we started the awards well after 6. There was also plenty of space for people to be in front of the speakers, and not behind... Goodie bags rely on our vendors and sponsors participation. AWD auto was the best participant this year by having key chains made. Its a struggle every year, so if you are not satisfied with it... talk to them. We ponied up big money for what we thought was a cool item, something fun and enjoyable... but I think the footballs had a mixed response. Win some, lose some I guess. Dash plaques were a legitimate let down. We had issues with our supplier. We are going to be doing a post show run of them, as I was surprised at how many people commented on them being missing. These will be available for free for those that pre-registered, and for those that did not they will be available for a small fee. I'm truly sorry that you seemed to not be able to enjoy the show in light of these problems. I feel the show went very well, and that the grounds fit us very well. And, I would even go so far to say I'd host another show there in a heartbeat. The pros far out way the cons.
  9. Hopefully next year you'll bring down your Coupe!
  10. Completely wrong. We do not stack awards. The only award we issue to a car that may already have won something is the Peoples Choice, because we have no control over that. Please get your facts straight. Jake did win Best 1st Gen Legacy. Chris with a Spec B won Best of Show.
  11. Good to hear! Frustrating that I sold the car with that missing window trim (just had to be put back on) as well as with a new pair of hatch struts. That stuff, and the laptop, didn't make it from that person to Logan. Pretty sad Cause without the car, all that stuff is trivial worthless crap. I may have found a laptop, but i'm going to have to set some time aside to play with it and see if it actually works, which might not happen till after WCSS. I'll keep you updated.
  12. Thanks alot to the guys that PM'd me! We should be set for this year.
  13. Ok guys... I'm looking for an experienced and knowledgeable person to help with judging EA71-EA82 categories. You will be working with the rest of my judging staff. Judging usually takes place 12-3 or 4 depending on how many cars we have to go through. The one caveat is you can not have a car competing in the class you judge. Please PM me if you are interested!
  14. <3 I was soo close to buying it back, but I don't have time for more projects... couldn't show it the proper amount of love. Glad you got it, and are going to do something good with it! Bringing it up to WCSS?
  15. Swap meet is a great idea... If people are willing to bring their own tables, or are fine being on grass/pavement I'm willing to set aside some space for it. My only issue is we are low staffed, so I can't dedicate someone to watching all the stuff, that would have to be up to you guys. Also, we can't be responsible for cleaning it up if someone brings parts to sell and doesn't want to take them home again. Aside from these 2 things, I'd have no problem setting aside some space for ya. Like Pooparu mentioned, in years past people have set out stuff at their camp spot. You could go one better, and set some stuff out at your car when its out on the show area. Lots of people will see it, and if you don't want it sitting out while you hit up the gokarts or the food truck you can just toss it back in right quick. Or, even leave it in the car, and just put out a little sign on the car saying what you have for sale and your Phone # so people could text or call you. All sorts of options, and i'm definitely willing to support the idea. Especially if we can get some more people to comment on if they would use the space or not.
  16. Unfortunately I wasn't the one that did the conversion... and I no longer have the car so I can't go out and look. I'll dig through my old pictures tonight and see if I might have something...
  17. Thanks for those shots... Looks much the same as what was done in my old RX. Car is looking WICKED. Keep it up!
  18. I'd love some more pics and info on what pedal box you used, and how you went about putting in that hydraulic clutch.
  19. I somehow know that a USDM STI master bolts up the the brat booster just fine...
  20. This dream is what threads are made of.
  21. I wonder if the BC's go lower than the Ksports I had... How low are you shooting for?
  22. It should be included in your confirmation email. Check your spam. If you don't find it, email westcoastsubarushow@gmail.com your real name and I will resend it.
