  1. I will try to remember to post a pic tomorrow of my '05. I have the XT Limited (Sholz - see my PM). I went from a Passat (V6) to the Outback. The XT does include bigger wheels (17's). I do like the bigger tires - plus they are Potenza's - so not cheap tires. You may want to check the specs on the tires on the other cars. The car does have some side body roll - but not much even compared to my Passat. Other options that I selected - 5 speed, the OEM roof bike rack, OEM sub-woofer upgrade, upgraded security, heavy rubber mats, cargo net and rear cargo screen. I chose silver for color. I just recently replaced the cheap 30W factory speakers with MB Quart all the way around. I also Installed professional tint and silver pinstripes. My only complaint is the the factory 6-Disc HU is heavy on the bass and gain side. I had to adjust those all the way down in order to enjoy quality audio. But this is very minor. I love the drivability of the car and it sounds good too - dual exhaust was a surprise and it handles the mountain fire roads just fine! :-)
  2. New here too. '05 Outback XT. Traded in a VW with numerous problems over the entire time I owned it - and I don't regret it - even the difference in drivability is amazing with AWD and the turbo Even the VW'ers are rude - one member told me to 'stay here', so I will! Looking for any local GTG's in VA or WV area.
  3. I never thought I would buy a wagon but with all the hiking and mountain biking - I purchased a new '05 Outback XT Limited. I was looking at SUV's and I test drove the Sube and fell in love with it. Let me say this - what a sleeper with the Turbo! I love this car! I drove the car down my aunts country driveway/access road and with all the ruts and the major wash out areas - and dips - this car felt like it was floating over them. Now I cannot wait for winter snow. All this car needs is a stereo upgrade! Any suggestions on swapping out the stock OEM speakers? I was looking at MB Quartz. TIA.
  4. Sorry about the ping problem! I use the highest rating for my 2005 Outback XT 2.5L. Question: Do you go to the same place for gasoline or to several diff stations? Does the state of CT have diff gasoline regulations than other states?
