  1. at least we post pictures in an effort to help with the original posted question.
  2. You could also check at the dropping resistors on the pass side fender well (see below)? This devise has battery voltage in and four wires out, one to each injector. The injectors are fed battery voltage through the dropping resistors and the ground for them is provided by the ECU as G points out. If the resistor for #1 injector was toast (never seen it happen) only #1 would be effected.
  3. I'm not sure which OEM clamp Gary has in mind but I've never seen either one of these in a "super market"
  4. And no response to this post since 12/25/2007 over two months???!! I don't know if we want this type of character doing business on the USMB?? Caveat Emptor -- comes to mind.
  5. Kewl. Then wire it to the relay output contact going to the starter and hang it below the dash. The ignition switch "sweet spot" GD mentions is why I ask for this. I have added this relay to a half dozen Subes and never had a failure - except for the "sweet spot" problem.
  6. Jess, if you want to understand this system take a few minutes and read this post. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=82917 GD's post #10 tells a lot about this device.
  7. pull the panel under the streering coluum look for a pink colored connector that feeds the ignition switch. It probably has a melted contact in it that will be quite obvious. Show us the wiring diagram you used for this new relay, please. Do you own a test light that could be wired to the relay contact that goes to the starter?
  8. well done Sir Greenley!! I did not have to do that but I thank you very much for your guidance. Emailing it is very difficult as it is so large. Thanks agian, I hope it works that way for all who want a copy.
  9. You are most welcome Tcat? I hope it helps answer your situation, and showed the helpful folk where your problem is. Here's gidonya mate.
  10. JoAnne, sorry for the H Jax does anyone remember Hobby Gary's hesitation fix with the rubber washer under the KS. I do not recco , diminishing the sensitivity of the unit I just remember this from years ago.
  11. Nice shots, good info. I want to say thanks to Jared, for having the consideration to resize them so they fit on the screen.
  12. blown hoses can be fixed with duct tape but.... where's the water to refill the system. This vehicle must get some serious fuel economy. What happens when the fuel pump gives it up?
  13. I like the method AE points out We old timers call them "hoof picks" - man that is old time!! Another use for a hoof pick is removing stuborn hoses. Stick the point in and wiggle it around the pipe (shoot some ju ju of your choice in if you like) See photo at right. The hose can then be rotated and pulled right off. I have a longer "snouted" one that works better but.... guess there is something to having too much stuff ....grrrrrrrrrrr I hate when I can't find a tool.
  14. sorry, I hope you were right clicking. If you want a copy, please email me and I'll send it that way.
  15. Sir Guru, please deal with this!! Or offer refunds to those tired of asking.
  16. okay weld what you must if you read a bit on these acceleration vibration problems I believe you will see a large contingent saying the DOJs (inner CVs to some) is the primary cause of this. Sorry, I tried, I'll leave it to you and GD now 'Ave a gidday mate

  18. Brian, Sir Sorry, but you did ask for suggestions the dogbone is one bolt and nut It could be preventing the movement you need. Maybe if you showed a picture of your install (top mounted AWIC?) it would help prevent these nebulous replies (suggestions). I said loosen not remove the tranny mount bolts/nuts I have two of these turbo wagons, and have not seen all these problems. (never had an engine out of one yet though)
  19. I happen to have an EA82T sitting "topless" on one of my benches. I took a close look at where Tcat says the problem is. I saw NO separation like you mention in any cyl. Is this the proper area of concern you speak of?
  20. Amen to that!! Being the impact type helps sometimes also. Stuby wrenchs come in handy also. But not for that nut!!

The site Pdftown.com is loaded with kewl .pdf files I clicked automotive (top of page) then "Subaru" Just have to see the list to believe http://pdftown.com/Subaru-PDF-eBook-Category.html This deserves mention in a separte post.
