  1. Just curious if anyone has tried the micky thompson tires.... they make a 27x9.50 that would look pretty cool for offroad and looks quiet enough for folks that use their soobs as a daily driver...I'm a long way off from getting tires at this point but just checking if anyone has tried this...
  2. Pressure washer on the cheap... if ya got an air compressor that is... Hook up a cheap sand blaster gun to an air supply buy a garden hose hose clamp it to the siphon point of the gun turn on the water and there ya go.... not as powerful as a pressure washer but it gets the job done
  3. Well i am new to this board just introducing myself. Names Bill! I got a 1992 Subaru Legacy Wagon LS that I plan to turn into a ORV/Daily Driver...Due to rust and dents and dings... Engine/Tranny Rebuild is going to ensue in the new future due to haveing 180,000+ miles. Be a good idea to rebuild the transfer to I guess any suggestions would be appreciated. Also changing the interior as I am a big guy and need more room the seats are very uncomfortable... was kicking the idea around of changing seats possibly even incorporating a bench seat into it... Well i am sure you folks will be hearing a lot from me see ya folks BC
  4. Speaking of 4eat rebuilds anyone attempt one of these I am curious as my 4eat is slipping and I found a rebuild kit for $264.90 which does not sound too shabby...thanks BC
  5. Ok I am going to order new struts... Start with that and see where it gets me... Anyone know the years and model of Outback I need or are they all pretty much the same... I got a 92 AWD Legacy(So I am guessing I can reuse the springs)... Need to know what WILL work...I will get some before and after shots... Also anyone knows who makes some aftermarket steel rims for the 5 lug wheel pattern we got on the subies? I guess I will go with the KYB Struts as they are cheaper than the Monroes, my wife gets them for cost with a 10% mark up which isn't bad...oh well someone hook me up with an answer please
  6. Well i found a lift by a company called backyard boys... with a 3 inch lift and about a 1.5 from the outback struts is it safe to say I could get about 4.5 inchs of lift... Oh well... thanks everyone.
  7. I'm new to this site Someone over at the Legacy central forum said to come here with some lift questions...Anyone got any ideas on how to lift a 92 leggy wagon... I want to go with some 28" tires... I heard you can use outback struts, And i will cut the fenders out if I have to, but does anyone make a lift that will lift this beast? Just throwing this outhere to see if I am the only one with this idea... Thanks BC
