  1. You guys nailed it.......if only I had read your solutions in time. Replaced thermostat, same situation. Took off upper hose and dry as bone. So decided to fill from upper hose......worked perfectly. Never had to do that before. Thanks for the tips.
  2. No on the hose. Cant imagine a clog, will tear apart and find out.
  3. Ok, so I switched out my old leaky radiator which did not overheat for a brand new one from rock auto.....and now I overheat! The coolant is not circulating through the system. Motor heats / overheats yet heater does not blow hot. I know coolant is not circulating because there is no coolant in upper hose when I take it off the engine. I have tried to bleed the system but llevel does not go down when I fill radiator and I know the system is not full because I drained about 1.5 gallons of coolant before I took the old one out and the new one will only take about 1/2 gal. I have replaced several radiators on gl /beats and never had this problem. Suggestions? I should have let the old bugger alone.
  4. Hey gd, good to hear from you. How much does your shop charge for the work?
  5. Ok, I can find flex hose or dual diameter, but I cannot find both in the same hose. Anyone have part #'s or know who carries these? Thanks
  6. Radiator arrived yesterday. Going to search for hoses today. Are they hard to find?
  7. Need to do something with my 84 GL EJ swap radiator. Recore is $100, reman from internet is $130. Any opinions either way? If I do order new from internet, should I stick w/ GL or go with EJ22 radiator?
  8. Poop, I'm in for one Large, I think a manilla/eggshell would look great.
  9. I need the drivers side turn signal unit if you have one. Let me know. thanks
  10. Do you have a way to attach a subaru engine to a velvet drive transmission? I always thought a subaru motor would be more efficient than my ford V8.
