  1. I have a 2010 Tribeca with 175k miles. I bought it used a few years ago without autoshop work papers or receipts, so I'm not sure what works been done. Overall, it drives smooth and without issues. Today my check engine light, AT Oil Temp, Cruise, and Traction control lights came on. I brought it to O'Riellys for a code read, and they said it was P0700. Today and a few weeks ago, I was at about 15 mph and accelerating slowly, and my car jolted hard, but it's only happened twice and at low gears. Can anyone give me some insight on what the issue may be, and how expensive it will be to resolve? Obvi my transmission is funky, but any info is helpful. And is it neccesary to bring it to a shop or is it a self doable fix?
  2. Hey everyone, glad to be on the forum, I've been on several other forums specific to the models I've owned, but new to this general forum. I "inherited" a 2002 Subaru Outback H6 Sedan from my Father-in-law several years back and was an instant convert. That little car would literally plow through snow that my neighbors SUVs and pickups couldn't even handle. I took it to 315k and then finally had to pull the plug as it needed a water pump, timing belts, and head gaskets all done. I would have kept it and done the work myself if it hadn't been taking up much needed space in the driveway and I knew I probably wouldn't get to it for years. I currently drive a 2006 B9 Tribeca and I've been a little disappointed with it compared to the Outback. The wife wanted a minivan, I really wanted another Subaru, the Tribeca with 7 seats seemed an acceptable compromise, but neither of us has felt like we got what we wanted. She wants to be able to "walk around" in it to help the kids, and it doesn't handle as well as the Outback did, wish I had the towing package and RES. We've since bought an Odyssey, so she is happy, and I'd like to get a Baja. Looking forward to learning here.
  3. Hi all, I have a 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca. It works pretty well for its age, but the most annoying part about the car is the fact that the keyless entry fob will only unlock the passenger and rear doors, and I must use the key to unlock the driver's side door. I've pored over the owners manual and haven't found anything-would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks

  5. Hello, I posted a few days ago about my car that won't pass safety. We're looking at a few used models online and since I've always gotten good advice on here I'm wondering what people's opinions on the five were looking at are, if there's any to avoid or a gem or two in there. I haven't seen any in person but the pictures online don't show any noticeable damages or rust and all are wagons/crossover. A couple have been brought up from the States in the past, if that makes a difference. -2009 Tribeca (216,000 km), $10,995 (dealer) -2008 Outback 2.5i (205,000 km), $8,995 (dealer) (American) -2005 Outback 2.5XT Wagon (230,000 km), $6,000 (private) (American; turbo and timing belt replaced at 160k; $3k of work done in 2014 with receipts) -2004 Impreza (194,000 km), $3,000 (private) (Timing belt replaced at 150k) -2004 Impreza (192,000 km), $3,500 (private) We're a family of three, mostly short in city trips with the occassional long distance trip a few times a year. Thank you in advance!
  6. Subaru Gives A List Of Names For Its Tribeca Replacement: ~► http://www.subienews.com/2015/06/whats-in-a-name-subaru-give-a-list-of-names-for-its-tribeca-replacement-we-pick-a-winner/ Somehow I'm one of those persons that like to see Cars' Names that continue Living, despite that the model Changes a Lot with ages; Names such like Corolla, Mustang, Skyline, etc... has been for decades among us, Subaru used to have a "Legendary" name with the Leone and it was a shame that they Discontinued its Use; now seems that the same will happen with the Tribeca, according to the information given on the link above... What do you think about that? ... Kind Regards.
  7. Hey guys, a buddy of mine needs to get his truck out of West Virginia after it broke down on our last snowboarding trip. My question is, can my 08 Limited, with the towing package handle towing his 07 Toyota Tundra? We are considering using a dolly where his rear wheels are on pavement and front two on the dolly. His truck is approximately 5000 lbs give or take a few hundred. Has anyone had any experience with this? Don't want to stress the vehicle too much going over some mountain passes and a 300 mile trip back to eastern Virginia. Any help would be great! Thanks!
  8. Hey y'all - I have a 2006 Tribeca and the power seat controls quit working. Anyone have good advice? Thanks, Dave
