Hi all, I have owned a Subaru for a long time (87 wagon with a 4" lift) not to familiar with the newer Subaru's. I recently picked up a 00 Outback wagon from a guy that was trying to swap a 04 ej205 JDM WRX motor into it. It would be a sweet ride but the problem he ran into is the 04 USDM WRX harness won't plug into the JDM motor. So my question is, has anyone had success with this type of swap before? My thought was to install a US WRX intake manifold along with the cam pulleys, crank pulley, and all the necessary sensors to match up with the US WRX ecu and wiring. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated! Thanks 00 Outback Wagon 04 WRX ej205 JDM motor 04 USDM WRX complete wiring harness + ecu 5 speed AWD

I recently got a 2013 wrx within the last couple months. I plan on leaving the engine untouched to avoid pissing off the dealership guys so I can retain my warranty. Does a replacement of suspension or wheels/tires along with exhaust violate that? She's already tinted, with some rain guards fitted for this friggin Florida weather. What wheels should I go with? Is upgrading the suspension really worth it? Isn't it already a nice suspension? What sort of front tag should I mount on her?

Making up a Xmas gift list and I was considering adding a rear antisway bar and endlinks to the list. or maybe ask for a gift certificate to help pay for one. Just wondering who makes WRX wagon-spec rear bars? Is Whiteline the only choice?

Im new to all of this, my previous car was a 96 Oldsmobile and so this is my first step into having really my own car that i can work on/learn with and upgrade. Ive found a lot of parts for the WRX and STI models but not very much for the Impreza, I was wondering if the WRX parts would fit and work properly on an Impreza. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tyler

I'm considering buying a 1994 WRX 5 spd transmission for a swap project, but I'm having a HUGE amount of difficulty finding out anything about it. It is JDM and from a RHD vehicle. I'm looking for gear ratio (although I'm guessing it's 3.90), I'm wondering what sort clutch it accepts ( Pull style, push style, hydraulically activated or cable) Also, is there any reason I might avoid this transmission?? Any help, of info will be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed some missing in my 2006 WRX lately and, even though miles are low, according the the 'time' side of the schedule, it may need new plugs so, I ordered some. any hints, tips or warnings for pulling the wire boots, changing the plugs, access, etc. appreciated. anything else nearby I should inspect or change? thanx guys
