  1. I have a mostly intact steering column clamshell from a 1986 XT 4 cylinder and one for an XT6 with the right side of the top piece broken. Is it possible to have these scanned so I can have the full part with the gap for the windshield washer stalk? Also, has anyone put 19" wheels on an XT6 (or other ea82)? Any mods required?
  2. Had a front end collision on my brat a while back and finally getting around to doing something with it. Couldn’t find a radiator support or a shop that would fix her up so using her for a parts car on my wagon and parting out what i don’t need/can use seems to be the best route. The interior is in surprisingly decent shape, most of the plastic hasn’t deteriorated yet. I’ll check this thread regularly or message me about parts and I’ll shoot prices back. In the central California area so keep in mind the shipping and time to remove some of her. Interior is already started but body parts and others might take some time to get
  3. I have a 92' SVX LS-L that I may part out or sell as is. Complete car minus engine and wiring harness. Really nice car. Older couple bought the car new in Charlotte, NC and was always dealer maintained. On day 1, the couple covered the interior in sheep skin. I took the covers off and the seats are mint as is the rest of the interior. Transmission was replaced by the dealer at 95k miles. Car has 125k miles. Everything works inside the car. The wife passed in 2017 and the husband traded the car in. The sales manager gave the car to his daughter in college. She hit a light pole and bent the front frame and cracked the radiator. I just bought the car this past weekend so I haven't had a chance to remove the engine and harness. I am using the motor for a Porsche 914 conversion and have the SVX at the shop in Denver, NC. I would love to make a deal on the entire car once I remove the engine and harness if you are interested
  4. Hi there, we are working on getting an 81 GL road worthy and I found a 79 GL that could be used as a donor, but wondering about differences in interior and body. Are these 2 compatible?
  5. 2006 Outback, driver side rear door will only unlock/open with the interior handle. It will lock with the remote or door master, but not unlock. I'm guessing something has come undone at the latch, but there are no obvious attatch hardware for the panels, and just tugging on them only bruises my tender fingertips! Before I start prying at things with my biggest/widest blade screwdriver, what am I missing? Thanks all.
  6. I own a 99 subaru forester s and am in need of a solution to my worn out seats. I have the beige leather heated seats in the car and the front seats have cracking and tears in them. What can I do? I've seen leather repair kits but for the matching dye and everything it's 70+ dollars and I'm skeptical about the results. Is their any way I could get replacement oem seats for the car or is there any good aftermarket seats out there that would fit and match nicely? I'm not looking for race bucket seats just some comfortable daily driving seats. Any suggestions are appreciated
  7. anybody out there have any advice to offer? seats from my other 88GL wagon don't fit, but thats a 4 door. Are there aftermarket mounting adaptors kits or something like that available?
  8. I'd like to swap out the driver's seat for something newer and more comfy. I don't care what it looks like but I don't want to do a lot of modification. Are there any particular seats I should consider looking for at the PnP? I DID managed to add some comfort to the butt-pad part of the stock seat a few years back by trading the butt-pad from the passenger side seat however newer car seats are much more comfortable on my blobby shape. It's the same pad, but(t) you just need to switch the plastic trim to the other side. Historically I have not been shy about periodically removing the seats/backs, taking them to the DIY carwash and pressure sudsing then rinsing them. Same with the carpet. Funky smells be gone! ###
  9. Heard the STi interior can fit in the RS. Anyone know if that is true, and if so, What year it needs to be?
  10. I'm dreading the upcoming cold, so is my 2001 Subaru Legacy as it gets to about -50c or so here. This has led me to buy a Little Buddy Interior Car Warmer (900w). Anyone installed one before? It looks relatively straight forward in theory but I was wondering about best location to install and best spot to drill through the fire wall. Thanks!
  11. So the title pretty much says it all, can't get my brat's interior lighting to work besides the dome. Would very much like to have that, what are the main wires for that? Also, my heating doesn't work, but I don't have my ac compressor connected, don't know if that's the problem or not. Anything helps Thanks
  12. Just purchased a beautiful 1998 Outback Legacy. One of the small details I dislike about it is the wood trim pieces. Any thoughts? Replacement? Swap?
  13. hello USMB. I live in tigard oregon and when i got my 86 brat she came with a larger stock pile of parts. everything from piston connnecting rods and lifters to a heater core, A/C eqip and interior parts for an 85-87 ea81 wagon or something. I would like some cash for the parts because i did pay extra, but the reaswon that i am getting rid of them is i am leaving aug 20th for Airforce boot camp and i cant take it all with me. i will not ship them, but if you want me to drive them to you then i will ask for gas money and once i get there i am not taking anything home. my cell is 971-322-9607, and my email is jameskester.cap@gmail.com you can reach me by my cell or email better than on usmb.
  14. Hello again. I've had a problem that has slowly been developing with my '94 Legacy. The driver side door is becoming difficult to open with the interior handle, however it opens easily with the outside handle, so I know that the latch isn't gummed up or binding. I'm thinking that there must be a linkage that is worn or stretched, and the interior handle hits its limit stop before fully releasing the latch. (That's just my theory...) Has anyone had this happen before? Is it difficult or are there any guides on how to take the door panel off to check this out? Thanks.
  15. I have a 2000 Outback with just about every option available at the time that is without an engine that is strictly a parts vehicle that I picked up for cheap, and I have a 2001 Legacy L sedan as a daily driver. What I was wondering is that could I take everything off the Outback and put it on my Legacy sedan? Now I know Subaru's are good with running all the wiring and provisions for the options even though they did not come with the car so that all you need is the component, the switch and the fuse or relay. But I would just like to confirm this with some things such as the rear view mirror with the built in compass the heated side view mirrors the AM/FM/tape/6 CD changer/and weather band radio the left and right upper door tweeter speakers Another question is that I would also like to lift my legacy with the outback struts. What all would I need to swap to do this? obviously the struts, but also I heard of swapping the rear control arms off the Outback on to whatever you are putting the on for camber and after that I really don't know. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Luke
