  1. I am looking for the torque spec settings for bolts in the EA82 engine. I have a 1992 Subaru Loyale that i am replacing leaky seals and gaskets. also replacing the timing belts and checking / adjusting the valve / cam clearances. is there a sheet or file that has all the various bolt torque specs used in this car / engine. Thank you, SJ
  2. Does anybody have the manual listing the above? Thanks, -Michael
  3. Hi, I recently bought a 2005 impreza 1.6l with an ihi rhb5 turbo (about 150 hp) and I noticed that the real boost starts over 3800-4000 rpm (100+ octane gasoline). The thing is that I dont want (for now...) more power I just want a little bit more torque at lower rpm (lets say 1000 rpm less). I checked over the internet and I saw 2 or 3 propable solutions. 1) wider exhaust pipe for lower back pressure in order to help turbo spool up faster 2) stiffer spring in wastegate actuator 3) remap ecu What is the best to start with and because stock ecu isnt a good choice for remapping I would like a suggestion for an aftermarket one. Thank you in advance.
  4. installing cyl. heads on 98 outback ej25 need torque specs and sequence for camshaft and seal caps. also timing info please. thanks!
  5. I have 2006 Outback Limited, when making tight slow turns I can feel the torque bind. If I back out of my driveway with the wheel turned and then shift into drive it hits in hard. When the car is in park and I turn off the ignition it will slightly lurch forward. I have measured all the tires and all are the same, although I did drive the car on a low tire for about 40 miles the day I bought it. it was at about 20PSI I have checked the voltage to the transfer clutch duty solonoid 1.5 to 1.8 Volts with the solonoid connected, key on, 1st gear, not running. I have checked the voltage at the solonoid with the AWD Fuse in, 0 volts at the solonoid. The car still binds with the AWD use IN. I have checked the trans temp sensor, 4000 ohm at 70 degrees F. I have checked the throttle position sensor , (OK) I have changed the fluid twice. one flush and one filter and drop with subaru ATF. I think the transfer duty solenoid is under the trans pan on this unit and not in the tailshaft area. Please confirm. Not sure where to go from here, anything else I could check? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Chris
