ea82T injectors

Recommended Posts

turbo injectors are indeed 185cc this is why people often swap them for the larger 260cc turbo ZX injectors. I am running the stock injectors but I plan to run more than 4 of them when I go for much more power.

I have seen people refer to them as 180cc, 185cc, etc. but that's not at the same pressure most injectors are rated at. Here is the post where they are actually measured.

And info from WJM.

When I upgraded to 280zxt injectors they did flow more, but definitely not 40% more.

ok so there 180-185 cc kool

i plan on running an e85 + pump 92 to keep from Detonation and Pre-Ignition

and the 330 cc Datsun Performance Fuel Injectors from http://osidetiger.com/Datsun1.aspx i think he wanted 120 for a set of 4

185cc @ 36 PSI (still doesn't correlate to measurements), the 330cc are probably @ 43.5 PSI. Do you know the relationship of flow to PSI? It is (PSI(x) / PSI(y))^0.5. For the mathematically challenged: http://osidetiger.com/calculator.aspx

If you don't understand that you probably shouldn't be modding your engine.

dude the question was what is the OEM injector cc's.... so i can add 25% + cc's for the e85 and a walbro 255 & an fpr is going to be added at the same time

Seems a little brash. Maybe work on your technique. If you do not know how to communicate without being an rump roast maybe you shouldn't post on the interwebs?!? See what I mean. Just doesn't come across any other way does it?

I'm just being factual and honest, I apologise if it comes across brash. I still feel the same, it's not a personal insult, but really one need to understand the relationship between flow and pressure, and how the fuel pressure regulator works, etc. before modding their engine.

It seemed that AWD TURBO ignored my post and doesn't understand that relationship when in the next post he talked about the 185cc and the 330cc without describing their pressure or translating the numbers so they would actually compare to each other. I couldn't even find what pressure the 330cc injectors are on their web site, so who knows how much they actually flow.

But whatever, I am just trying to help. I'm not wanted in this thread so I will now bow out.

hi,

i want to throw something in here , according to the wiring diagrams for the ea82 series cars the injectors are wired in pairs, and after looking closely , it appears they must fire 2 times in each 720 degree rotation of the cranksahft, which is one cylinder's complete power cycle . so it makes sense that they would use an injector that is roughly 1/2 the rate needed for a "fire once per cycle system". if anyone would like to comment about this i would like to hear what their thoughts are , but i know the injectors are wired in pairs so it sure looks like each of them will fire twice in every 720 degrees rotation.
