I was looking to eliminate some of these vacuum lines and such to reduce the clutter on the intake manifold. My 79 Brat pretty was pretty much just the carb and I would love to get it down to just that.

 

The picture is of a EA81 84 Subaru GL wagon 4x4 d/r intake manifold and I wanna know what I can get rid of and not effect gas mileage or drive-ability.

 

Or could I possibly swap my EA71 79 Brat carb onto this manifold.

 

Oh I don't have to worry about emissions on my car in Oregon due to it's age.

Put a Weber on it. I don't think you will be able to get rid of too much of that junk without replacing the stock carb.
