Steven C Posted March 5, 2011 Share Posted March 5, 2011 My 97 5 speed 170000 milkes,rear differntial is seems to be leaking from the top rear, around the two studs mounting the control arms. Are there seals there? Seems an odd place to leak. I checked the other leaking threads and they are in all the normal spots. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the differential was over filled the last time it was serviced, it's possible for the oil to drain out of the vent on a steep enough of an incline.
