fun fact: 98 VW jetta is taller than a gen 1 brat, although the brat has far more ground clearance. It takes roughly a 3" lift to get a  gen 1 brat as tall as a FWD Economy car...And I chose the brat as the basis for an offroader...

i know that feeling

Any updates?

It snowed here one time only.

I live in the mountains at 3200 ft.!

No snow.

My studded tires are still on.

My 27.7" Km2s are waiting for a set

of steel wheels on thier way.

It will be nice to save money and time next year

when I do not need to swap tires.

The mag 5 stars are now winter/street only.

Wheeling last summer they were shaved a bit

on some on rocks moving me

toward the smarter steel option.

Found a mud hole today yet it was dry.

I'm glad to now know its location.

Looked around a bit....

lifted a wheel a few times on some new found trails.

Need money to make my new car more reliable…...

fern is back up for sale..

I unfortunatly have no garage and only street parking.

I don't like having two cars its too much for me personally.

I hope she goes to someone who will keep her nice and still moderatly wheel her….she likes that. :P

Washed all the mud off..

I thought my clutch went out fast,

3 days of tightening the clutch cable and losing reverse....

I knew the original clutch was going to go soon yet did not think it would go so abruptly.

I bought a new clutch and had my mechanic go to it.

He found that the clutch was worn "almost to the red ribbon" and replaced it with the bearing.

the fork had cracked and then progressively bent making the clutch inoperable...

new fork installed.

I took her on a snow boat float through the mountain back roads,

you know to settle in the clutch a bit... ^_^

I was pleased with the performance of the new clutch. :D
