AKIRA
92 loyale 3AT 4WD. we were driving home from walmart and on the highway, it lost third, just like it shifted into neutral, had to drive the rest of the way doing 35 on the highway. I took out the govenor, the gear was cored all the way down in the center, I had checked it a week ago and it was fine! I felt around and the inside gear feels good. my question is what could make it wear down so fast?

Meeky Moose
the coring of the governor is caused by a bad gear in the front diff.. or atf in the front diff.. my wagon suffers from ofer stuff as well as coring the governors.. wondering, what did you pay for another newish 3at 4wd trans?
