crank pulley bolt

Recommended Posts

I don't know how, but my crank pulley came off and the bolt is gone with the wind. I'm at the jy now but they don't have any ea82s here. Will one from an ej22 work? If not does anyone know what size and thread so I can go to the bolt store and buy one?

EJ bolt is too long.

Though you could cut one down.

Think it's m14x1.25......not sure though.

Definately needs to be very high grade whatever size it is.

Cut my be difficult. Temporarily spacing would probably be acceptable.

maybe the torque will push it out anyway...

try a bolt from other ea82... if you can look in some place...

If you do end up having to cut a bolt, try sticking a screwdriver in the hole and mark the length you would need, cut a wee bit shorter than that. Hopefully you can find a straight replacement, though, of course.

you might be able to get the bolt by the head size. it's a 22 mm  socket. if you find one, you might want to add some lock thread. small tube you can get at any auto parts store. runs about $3-5$. drip on threads prior to install. then torque to specs. hope this is helpful.
