Looks good.  How was it for road manners?  I'm guessing a front tube bumper is in the plans.

goes great down the road, those front rims keep the tires close in ,near stock specs

Nice pics, a little Subie-Yota dos-e-doe.  I think you need a retractable wheelie bar or a pre-runner style rear bumper now so you don't do back-flips.  That's quite the Washington crew you guys have got going on.  Looks like a good time.

You guys would be wetting your pants with the EJ dual range gearbox I reckon!

That thing's not my cup of tea, but it's pretty awesome to see in pics!

What's next in the mods?

Cheers

Bennie

I have a 86 3.9 dualrange in this beast, Whats next, Skidplate up front , A arm extra pivot bushings and bracing, finish up the rear, exocage with built in roof rack, onboard air, CB and Ham radios, roof lights, ETC,

Not so much. the AWD center section is not good for wheeling.Austin has a EJ DR, and it was ok until a tire or two came off the ground.

Your still only limited by the weakest point in the chain.Beef something up and it moves the failures to something more expensive. The control arm might not bend but the body might, or...On the other hand it could add enough strength that it completely solves bending altogether.waiting to see how this plays out.

Interested in see how these turn out. Let me know if you need someone to test them.  ;)

What your doing looks great........but I have to wonder.......since they always bend in this particular spot.....I think the hole is there to make a crumple point for crashes.  Might it not be easier to plate this area over the hole, and around the tube to reinforce it?

What your doing will work too.  Just purely a thought on why they always bend in that same place.
