jmoss5723
I found this set of vintage floor mats for sale locally and I'm going to buy them for the ski wagon, but I'm curious about what year they might be from, how rare they might be, etc. So who else has a set? How much are they worth? General thoughts?
crazyhorse001
I'm pretty sure they're aftermarket. That said, they're not the standard cheapo pep boys specials. Probably 70's or 80's vintage. Probably special ordered from sears or jc whitney.
the sucker king
that font would imply gen 1.
Leeroy
that font would imply gen 1. You Sir win the prize! That particular Subaru font was only used on early gen 1 stage 1 models (and the 360?) - 1972 to 1977, although there was some overlap. After this time the font used became more square in shape and stayed the same through the early 1980s. I agree they are aftermarket but look to be of good quality. When you think about even the factory floor mats would have been manufactured for Subaru by an outside supplier.
Leeroy
Here is a shot from the 1977 Chicago Auto Show and both 'fonts' for Subaru are being used: Edited August 27, 2014 by Leeroy

AWD J3wman
Those look great and if theyre aftermarket what would you rather ruin NOS floormats or JC Witney floormats?
moosens
You can get those or similar from drivesubies - Danny. Those shown are aftermarket. Some old dealers and shops still pull them out after years of storage.
moosens
And that font here in the USA would tell you they were really 1972-77. But I'm sure these were found in auto parts stores thru the early 80's as I recall.
