darsdoug
Does a failing MAF sensor throw a cel ? I'm not getting a cel and it's acting just like there's water in the fuel? I replaced the fuel pump last week and I thought that cured the problem because it ran fine for a couple days but now it's doing it again. Daily driver. Fairtax4me
Not always. MAF failures for the 95-96 years are becoming more common. If you're adventurous you can pop the cap off the sensor housing and try resoldering the joints where the pins from the connector join the pins coming off the PCB.

Fairtax4me
Cut the silicone out and pry the lid up. It has a funny edge on it that makes it tricky to pop up. It's easier if you get as much of the silicone out as you can. Edited December 8, 2014 by Fairtax4me
darsdoug
O.K. I didn't see a seam for the lid at first glance. Broken solder points at the pins were the problem. Thanks.
bluedotsnow
sounds like something I'm going to get at the junkyard and sell on ebay! just a solder away!
