How to keep your Subaru alive correction

Recommended Posts

I'm currently rebuilding an EA71 1979 Brat, came across the measurements for the cam gear/thrust plate/cam. Book (HTKYSA) says clearance should "be between .0008" (.020mm) and .035" (.090mm)." .035" is equivalent to .889mm. Corrected should read at .0035" (.090mm). Max allowable is .008" (.2mm) anything over .004" (.1mm) might cause "knock" at low engine RPM.
