BB's93LegacyL Posted January 12, 2018 Share Posted January 12, 2018 The previous owner of my '08 Impreza showed me where the filter installs up near the manifold and explained what tool he used. After looking at different tools, and then deciding to use Amsoil oil and filters, I bought a cap wrench. I use my 3/8 ratchet with a 6" extension. I like it because it keeps my hands away from the manifold if it has't cooled down completely. The Amsoil cap filter wrench retails for $3.45. My filter uses a 64 mm wrench.
