mkoch
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/gallery/image/3772-pilot-bearing-included-in-clutch-kit/ This pilot bearing was included in my clutch kit for my 1984 GL 4wd . . I did not take a part off the car like this... that I know of! The outside diameter is 16mm. Does the 1984 4wd GL use this bearing? I do not want to complete the engine installation, and then find that this should have been included in the assembly. Do I need it? More importantly, does my car need it? GeneralDisorder
You do not need that. Looks like a packaging mistake. GD

George1943
About 25 years ago, I had a Gen 1 Brat ('79 I think) that had a pilot bearing like that.
moosens
You may have gotten the wrong diameter clutch for the previous narrow case 1600’s. Small needle bearing ? The clutch disk ok for you ? Or maybe 180mm ? Yeah that’s the old school bearing. Edit Edited April 22, 2018 by moosens
ebarb
I got one of those too a few months ago when I got my clutch kit. Good to know it wasn’t something I needed.
