MICHAEL1977 Posted August 16, 2018 Share Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) Had head gasket go out in driveway. Didn’t get hot because I didn’t drive it far. So wasn’t concerned with warping. Put in new gaskets, torqued in sequence. I think it was 22 ft lbs, then 27 up to 42. Replaced intake gaskets as well. Stated up...still blew steam. Pulled plugs/ coolant in all cylinders soooo was head warped? It so wouldn’t I just have coolant in cylinders in affected side? If intake or carb gaskets bad, how much coolant would I loose? Cause it drained quite a bit from radiator pretty quick. need “short” term fix, maybe double gasket until I can get heads machined?? am I missing anything??
