have an 04 outback with 140K miles. It has a pretty good rattle over rough roads and I was thinking about KYB shocks and one of those front suspension kits ya see for about $100 on amazon. inner & outer tie rods, maybe ball joints and a few other things. Any particular kits folk recommend? Any to stay away from?

thanks

check sway bar endlinks, they can rattle.Check rear bushings on lower control arms.

second advice above, KYB struts, other stuff if inspection warrants.

best DIY,

remove strut assemblies, take them and new parts to a shop and pay them to move everything over.
