my low mileage GL

Recommended Posts

this is my 1989 Subaru GL I bought this car on November 13th 2016. it had 76,000 miles on it and I now have over 88,000 miles. I got many things fixed on the car such as a major transmission fluid leak, oil leaks (I have not fixed the head gasket leak, but it is very small), replaced belts, and alternator. I have to get a new ac compressor as well because I am sick of having no air conditioning. the summers are hellish in Georgia.

I daily drive this car and when its in the shop it sucks because then I have to uber places and I hate not having my car.

I am looking forward to sharing more on this website and I hope you all like my little car!

Wow that's factory fresh bro! Is she 4wd?

How much did you pay? And what took you so long to post? haha

I love those bodies, I have an 86 GL that I did an ej22 swap on and she smashes! Plus my eight five ex teezy (85 xt)

That's her with my 77 camaro. I don't know where those god awful plastic headlights came from.

My GL is the baby lion and the camaro is...cammy :-) What is the name you gave yours?

Have fun racking up the miles! You have a sub or two in the trunk for maximum driving pleasure I assume?1586527379_samsungshit262.thumb.jpg.39305baf5d378ed43a885507fc1c7170.jpg1002657014_samsungshit313.thumb.jpg.f6f146d2d8d74c85d7def6b2e6427a43.jpg

hey bud that's a nice one yourself I wish I had a wagon. I came close to buying a 1989 Camaro iroc so I also do care for the camaros especially the older ones. super sweet rides.

unfortunately mine is a 2wd with the terrible 3 speed auto. I paid $2,000 for it, which looking back it does not seem like I got the best deal. but, it was a low mileage rust free GL. very hard to find in that condition.

I named the car Levi because I had blue jeans on when I bought it and the interior is blue.

I spent $600 on the best speakers I could find, but I am in the market for an amp and possibly 2 subs. I just want to keep the original tape deck because I still listen to all my tapes! Lol

Way cool man! With such low miles and arrow straight sedan body what you paid is below market here in CO, yours would be listed for $3 and I'm not kidding. Probably sell for $2500.

The 2wd might make a difference here, but i have seen later loyale wagons for sale for around $1500 and those have closer to 200,000 miles, but often beaters, and so much more common than gls, especially sedan.

Throw some subs in asap and tape adapter and just mash the gas on those onramps lol! You have about 130,000 miles to go with easy maintanance before most would even consider the ej swap. But there are the resources to keep the L bodies running forever :P

I would just buy another one if you want to go 4 wheeling, but these make great econo boxes for around town. My dad made it over mosquito pass in a 2wd ea81 when i was a kid and that is 4wd only!

Oh and thanks for the compliments! For shows, used motor oil makes the bumpers and trim look brand new, even better than commercial tire black.
