steve56
Doing a Jdm 2.0 swap into ej2.5 Impreza. When ignition is on, there's a continuous buzzing noise from coming from under the hood. The noise is supposed to stop a few seconds after the ignition is left on. Sound like the fuel pump isn't shutting off. Any ideas.
jonathan909
The fuel pump is in the tank, so it's not going to sound like it's under the hood. I suggest you lift the hood and localize the buzz.
steve56
Good point, but I'm pretty sure I've heard that noise on previous engine swaps and it has something to do with the fuel pump priming.
jonathan909
You still need to lift the hood and localize it. To the fuse/relay box, perhaps? Edited April 18, 2019 by jonathan909
Suzam
Anti-lock brake pump?
steve56
The noise is coming from inside the throttle body. When I open the throttle plate the noise gets louder. Also engine is idling at really high at startup. Edited April 18, 2019 by steve56
