Scoby4wd
Hi, I bought an 83 4WD GL Wagon a couple of a weeks ago. Its in pretty remarkable shape for a northeast car, with the interior near mint. Odomter reads to have about 40k miles. Interior is clean enough to be believable. PO says they rebuilt the carb but coudnt get the choke right. I believe it haas a Hitachi but I havent opened it up yet. Basically the symptoms are that it feels like it is missing until it gets sufficiently warm. It runs kind of lumpy. It doesnt really make alot of power either. Runs great once warmed up however. Any ideas? Edited October 22, 2019 by Scoby4wd
DaveT
If the choke isn't adjusted correctly, and working correctly, this is what you get. Be careful if you decide to do much inside the carb, they are complicated and picky.
