The wiring harness drawings can be a little hard to interpret - it looks like the connector (B176) is way over on the passenger side, but there really isn't any room there, with heater/AC blower, air bag, etc.  Maybe up under the center console, but where in relation to the stereo?  Can anyone tell me where this thing is before I tear apart the dash?

jonathon909,

This is a free download link for your car. Usually they have an exploded diagram of all of the modules for the accessories. You'll have to download the entire file and search through the sections to find it. It could be in the wiring section or the body, doors, or the dash, interior section. You'll just have to search to find it. Good Luck!

Click Service manual ... and then each section opens up to individual pdf files.

Um, yeah, thanks... I know that.  I have it.  I'm looking at the drawing, which is why I said:

I was hoping for a real-world clarification from someone who's actually been under the dash.

Yes, but that's the security module - I'm interested in the keyless entry.  That suggests it's somewhere around the stereo, though.

And this one has the McIntosh stereo - dunno whether that affects the placement of any of the various modules.
