Vent line close to filler neck? 81 Brat Gl

Recommended Posts

Hello USMB! I took my brat to a shop to get a smoke test after failing my EVAP test for California smog. They think that I have a small leak behind the filler neck behind the long bed panels. They didn’t have enough time to pull the panels, and they also thought the smoke might be coming from the not perfect seal (of their test equipment) close to the filler neck.

is there a vent line from the filler neck? Nothing is leaking from the front of the engine .

I’m going to say there is no vent line off of the filler tube. I only could get two of the screws out of the panel inside the bed, but after I did, I could only see metal behind the filler tube. I’m going to take a chance and say that I fixed my evap issue up front and get it smogged Thursday.  Anyone know where the vapor separator is? That’s the only other thing I can think of that has hoses going to it that might be leaking?
