Suback
Hi first post, EA81engine. Been having issues with the car sputtering and then eventually stalling. All runs fine when its cold but once its warmed up the revs go up and down and acceleration is rough, backfiring and stalling at stops. So far I've changed the -ignition coil, leads, air filter, fuel filter, even adjusted the idle to no success and sprayed the carby with cleaner a few times. Checked vacuum hoses, distributor looks clean. What else could I check/be the issue here? Help please. Dee2
If you have a vacuum gauge it can tell you a lot about a poor performing engine. Only takes about 5 minutes to get the reading. I usually just use the point on the engine where the brake booster line connects. Make sure the plugs are clean and sharp and all the plug wires are securely connected. Other things to check are timing because of the backfiring. Check the fuel pressure.

Suback
Changed out the spark plugs, seems to have fixed the issues. Simple as that, should've done that first. Haha.
