viceversa
92 Loyale wagon, 2WD, 203,000 miles ... I hear this clicking or ticking or even squeecking from the right rear. Not while turning, but going straight at low speeds of 5mph. It seems to get worse, progressively. No throttle. Does that mean my axle is bad? Or wheel bearings? I have access to low-mileage axles from another Loyale, should I go ahead and install an axle? I want the easiest fix possible. How much time do I have before this gets real bad? Adam N.D.J.
If it's a 2wd, you don't have rear axles. I would say it's a wheel bearing that your hearing.
viceversa
Maybe it's the front axle then... I cannot really figure out where the sound is coming from. How do I check that the axle has gone bad? I examined the boots, and they seem to be fine, no grease leaking.
