cap86
I'm stripping a couple of 86 GL 4wd wagons for parts to keep my survivor/drivers going into the future, and was wondering if it might be easier to lift the stripped body off the drivetrain (most of the weight will be gone, doors, winshield, interior etc.) Any problems doing it this way? GLCraig
It can be done that way but it still will be heavy. you would want a few helpers to lift it or maybe a fork lift.

cap86
Beachbum, not sure what condition the a/c was in what are you looking for?
MilesFox
you can drop the motor/trans/ypipe/front crossmember/steering/suspensin/struts as an assembly, its the same amount of work as puloling the motor/trans seperately, but you get the ENTIRE front end of the car. strap pn a seat and a gas tank and drive it around! the rear suspensipon/diff/axles/shox will come out as one piece, seight bolts, 2 brakelines
